Today I rode out to the suburbs and brought my photo camera with me. Just took a few shots. I’ll start bringing it along on my rides more often.
The difference in riding styles is often measured not by riding skill, but by mileage. For me, 200 kilometers in a day — just riding around the city in normal motorcycle-walk mode — is absolutely normal. A standard day out. But for some riders, 1,500 kilometers in an entire season is a hard number to reach.
Strange, but true.
Funny enough, it may be time to rename Kievskaya Street in Tomsk to Kawasaki Street. First, Erica on her terracotta dragon. Then me, thinking once again that my main bike is a Kawasaki. And finally — or rather, right at the beginning of the street — Anastasia on her newly acquired white Kawasaki. I even stalled because I got caught staring at the calligraphic styling on the fairings.
I reinstalled the handlebar mount for my action camera in the garage and decided to test it with a short trial ride.
Unexpectedly, I ended up at the scene of a scooter crash on Komsomolsky Avenue in Tomsk, across from the tram depot.

At a traffic light, a girl noticed me and gave me a smile. I smiled back — not at her, but at myself and my motorcycle. Because the bike really is that good.
